Mark Finnell's Obituary
FINNELL, Mark C., age 73, of Sugarcreek Township and formerly of Mansfield, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital.
Mark graduated from Trenton High School in Michigan and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University. He retired in 2020 from Reynolds Machinery in West Carrollton as an industrial salesman after 20 years of service to the company.
Caring, friendly, and family-oriented, Mark had a great sense of humor and was a mentor to many people. He was a great listener who truly cared for others. He owned two Corvettes, a 2017 and a new 2023 model, and enjoyed driving around town and out in the country with his wife. He also enjoyed playing golf at Sugar Valley Country Club, working out and playing racquetball at Esporta Fitness in Centerville, and keeping his yard meticulous and detailed.
He was preceded in death by a son, Reed Finnell; his parents, Gary and Jane Finnell; and an infant brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Anita; son, Brandon (Jennifer) Finnell; five grandchildren, Calvin, Charlotte, Caden, Clara, and Cora; and one sister, Paula (Carl) King.
The family will receive friends from 2 -3:30 PM, Friday, June 7, 2024, at Sugar Valley Golf Club in Bellbrook. Immediately following at 3:30 PM will be a celebration of life service.
