Mark D. White's Obituary
WHITE, Mark D., age 66, of Dayton, and formerly of Bellbrook, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Mark worked as a truck driver for over forty years, driving for several companies, including Ernst and H&R.
Caring and family-oriented, Mark valued spending time with his loved ones. He shared a special bond with his mother, and they often spent hours baking together, creating a variety of breads and sweets. Another fond family tradition was deer hunting at the cabin in Wellston, Ohio, where he enjoyed quality time with his father and brothers at the opening of hunting season.
Mark was reserved by nature but also enjoyed social activities. He spent countless hours playing pool and darts both casually and in leagues. A passionate NASCAR fan, Mark was particularly fond of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and enjoyed collecting NASCAR memorabilia over the years. Whether he was attending in person or watching from home, he loved the excitement of a good race.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Donald White; one brother, Donald White; and one step-daughter, Michelle Mitchell. He is survived by his mother, Virginia White; one brother, Richard (Julie) White; one sister, Jean (Rod) Huey; his wife, Glenda White; one step-daughter, Tanya Mitchell; three grandchildren, Brian Patterson, Zacharie Mitchell, and Joshua Mitchell; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 2 PM on Saturday, February 22 at Conner and Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 PM at the funeral home. Larry White will be officiating the services. If desired, contributions may be made to AMVETS.
