Michael Donald Howard's Obituary
Howard, Michael Donald, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Hospice of Dayton at the age of 70. Michael was born on May 13, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to James and Mary Jane (Henderson) Howard. He served in the U.S Army as a Paratrooper during Vietnam in Panama. He worked in transportation as a truck driver, was always adventurous and spirited. He had a passion for skydiving, participating in over 2,000 jumps and being a member of “Pops” a group of parachutists over the age of 40. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and OSU Football, and loved to travel and vacation with family and friends, especially to beaches in the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Mexico. He was a member of the VFW 2800, the American Legion 598, Dart League, and Teamsters. He will be deeply missed by his survivors, his wife of 12 years Vicki, 2 sons Brian Philips, Eric Michael Howard, daughter Kelly Daugherty, 4 grand-daughters Adrienne Howard, Frances Howard, Luv Philips, Hailie Philips, a host of extended family, the Elite 8 (which included Mike and Vicki, John Isaacs, Lisa Hudson, Randy Carpenter, Ann Marie Carlin, Penny and Jim Babcock), as well as good friends Mike and Laura Grace, and Chuck and Donna Leonard. Life Celebration services will be held after the holidays.
