Michael Francis "Mike" Roth's Obituary
Roth, Michael “Mike” of West Carrollton, passed away on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at the age of 63. He was born on July 22, 1952 to Emmet and Helen (Wright) Roth in Dayton, Ohio. Mike was known for being kind-hearted, funny, and gifted at wood working. He loved nature and being outdoors and greatly enjoyed watching birds and horse races. He was an especially good father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Carey Roth Bayer (David) and his granddaughter Emma. He also liked to watch golf, football, and baseball and loved the rivalry between the University of Cincinnati, Xavier, and the University of Dayton. Mike is preceded in death by his parents and his brother D.J. Roth. He is survived by his daughter and granddaughter, as well as his lifelong companion Kathy Paterson, brothers Emmet “Skip” Roth (Debbie A.), Tim Roth, Pat Roth (Debbie K.), Dan Roth (Cathy), numerous nieces and nephews, best friends Louie and Debbie Schirack, and god-son Anthony Schirack. Family and friends are invited to come and share memories and sympathies during a life celebration visitation on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 from 9:30am-11am at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook. Further celebration of Mike’s life will follow at 11am during a service officiated by Rev. Debra K. Roth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chaminade-Julienne High School, 505 S Ludlow St, Dayton, OH 45402.
