Michael Allen Zehringer's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Allen Zehringer, age 75, of Sugarcreek Township and formerly of Ft. Recovery, who passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
Mike worked as an industrial sales representative for 30 years. During his retirement, he drove a bus for the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek School District. He was a dedicated member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Centerville and its branch of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member and former president of the Bellbrook Lions Club.
Family-oriented, caring, fun-loving, with a great sense of humor, Mike was welcoming and made friends easily with his outgoing personality. In addition to watching baseball and basketball, he coached his sons and many other children through the Lions Club league. He was a huge fan and season ticket holder of UD Flyers basketball. His other hobbies included travel with his wife and photography. Mike’s family originated in Germany, which led him to retrace his roots and travel back to Germany several times to reconnect with his extended family.
Mike will be remembered for many things, including his love of his family and his devotion to his Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Katherine Zehringer, and one infant brother, Joseph Zehringer. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia; two sons, Matthew (Erin) Zehringer and Jeffrey Zehringer; two grandchildren, Gabriel and William; two brothers, Tom (Kathy) Zehringer and Robert Zehringer; and three sisters, Phyllis (Steve) Miller, Jean (Mark) Giesige, and Mary (Dean) Whitman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 30 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Centerville, Ohio, at 10:30 AM, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Wednesday, May 29 at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Missionaries of the Precious Blood. Condolences at www.connerandkoch.com.
