Age 90, of Centerville, passed away unexpectedly Monday April 18, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born September 6, 1925 in Williamsport, Ohio to Naomi (Templin) and George Fred Wing. As a young adult, Mildred moved to Dayton where she met the love of her life, Elmer. Mildred was a founding and dedicated member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish, where she was also a long time Keenager member. She was formerly an active member of the Bellbrook CCL (Child Conservation League) and a Cub Scout Den Mother. Mildred loved attending U.D. Flyers basketball games and Big Band Concerts at Stubbs Park and the Air Force Museum.
Above everything else, she was a loving and involved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt who joyfully attended their cultural, sporting and academic events. Their accomplishments always filled Mildred with great pride and happiness. Being so dedicated to her large, extended family, Mildred was most happy whenever they could be together and share their love for each other. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer Arling (Nov. 16, 2014), brother Don Wing, and sisters Judith Lewis and Phyllis Coleman.
