Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for the loss of Nick... Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Nick Edwards was an amazing volunteer leader with United Way of the Greater Dayton Area. He was supportive, unselfish, committed to the mission and had a passion for helping others. Nick will never be forgotten for his leadership as our board chair and chair of the Community Impact Council that decides where United Way makes investments in services and initiatives in Montgomery, Greene and Preble counties. Kick was always dependable and could be counted on to do what he said. We will miss Nick and he will forever be remembered as one of the most committed and dedicated volunteers to ever serve United Way of the Greater Dayton Area.Tom Maultsby, President and CEO UWGDA
Nick was a caring, funny and loving son, father, husband and brother. He was loved dearly and will be missed. Sending love to Linda, Matt and Lauren
I met Nick Edwards after we were elected to City Council November 2013. I did not know Nick before this. We were seated in alphabetical order and I was seated next to Nick. Over the first few months I had a chance to chat a few moments before meetings started and it did not take long after talking to him and working with him to learn that Nick was special. Nick was cloaked with immense knowledge about how thinks worked and added to the mix was his big heart so it is no surprise his work on council helped all of us. Nick was all inclusive with all persons no matter who they were. Nick was always focused on our Citizens, and always questioned if our decisions were good for our citizen's. He always supported city staff because he knew great service comes from staff that is supported by our citizens and council. One example of his big heart was postponing increasing zoning fees for a while. His concern was because of Covid some citizens may not be able to do some of their projects plus after Covid he felt people needed a break. Being a council member takes away time from ones family. I would like to thank Linda Nicks wife, and Nicks family and friends for your unwavering support so Nick Edwards could serve the City of Bellbrook. Nicks memory and example will live on in our hearts and his influence will be a mark on Bellbrook for a long time to come. Nick it was an Honor to work with you and Thank you for all you have done for us.
With loving memories, we are so sorry for your loss. Nami, Chip, Sophia, and Mia.
My family and I are deeply saddened by the loss of a dear friend and colleague. Nick defined great. He was a great family man, a great advisor to many clients, a great servant to his community both public and non for profits, a great neighbor, a great mentor, a great politician, and most importantly a great friend! Nick and i liked to trade favors with our manly house chores- he helped my wife and I paint a mammoth size great room just a few years ago- he painted to work his way through school. Nick and I differed on about every political topic, but I ll tell you, we could teach alot to our current political figures- we always seem to find common ground, listen to each others opinions, and offer fair debate. Truth is, I respected him as a man across the aisle because he backed up his beliefs in volunteerism and philanthropy. We\u2019ve lost an incredibly great man! I\u2019d ask in his memory, to volunteer your time doing something for someone else. He taught me this little but significant trait, that can improve the lives of others. Our prayers are with Linda, Matt, Lauren, and the rest if their family friends and community. I will greatly miss my dear friend.Darin and family
Nick was not only a co-worker of mine for many years, but he was also a beloved friend. He was kind, compassionate and fun to be around. Rest in peace my friend! I will miss you! Tammy
Nick was one of the finest people I have ever known. I served on a Bellbrook committee with him and he truly impressed me with his knowledge and caring. He will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family and friends....Mary C.Graves Bellbrook OH
