Patricia Jane Bean's Obituary
Bean, Patricia Jane, passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at the age of 83. She was born in Red Lodge, Montana to Francis Powers and Ruth McGonegal Powers on September 12, 1932. Patricia married Vernald “Vern” Bean and together they raised three sons. She worked as a mother and a homemaker and was talented in sewing, quilting and embroidery. She was extremely family-oriented and passionate about spending time with her kids and grandkids. Pat was also loved and was very involved at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, volunteering for the bereavement committee as well as being a church cantor. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Francis Powers. He is survived by her 3 sons John (Jin) of Portland, Oregon, David (Kathy) of Boise, Idaho, Tom (Ann) of Bellbrook, and 6 grandchildren Jing Jing, Mia, Julia, Madeline, Joseph and Kiera. Friends and family will be gathering at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home (92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook) on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 from 5-8pm to celebrate Pat’s life. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi (6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville) on Tues. Dec. 22, 2015 at 10:30am with Father Tom Schmidt officiating. Burial at Bellbrook Cemetery. In memory of her service to the church and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi.
