Patricia Louise Cline (Saunders)'s Obituary
Patricia Louise Cline
85, of Bellbrook, passed from this life into eternal life on Tuesday November 4, 2014. Louise was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and moved to New Vienna, Ohio where she graduated from New Vienna High School. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Grace Saunders and a sister Carolyn Thornburg. Louise was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 16 years and was a kindergarten aide, reading tutor and elementary school secretary at Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools for many years. She especially loved all “her” kids at school. Louise had an excellent memory to remember the names of the children and their parents. She enjoyed her secretarial years at Stephen Bell Elementary and excelled in all phases of the job. She was a very dedicated worker and often returned to the school two evenings a week in order to have all her work finished and be prepared for the next day. Louise never had an unkind word to say about anyone and had great compassion and patience for all who knew her. She had a great love for music and served as the pianist in her home church at New Vienna and later at the Ferry Church of Christ. While at Ferry, she was a youth leader, Bible school teacher and member of the choir. Louise also sang in the Ohio State Fair Senior Chorus and the Centerville Community Chorus, which her husband Wilbur directed. She enjoyed following all the activities of her son and grandchildren including various sports. She usually didn’t understand the particular sports activity but supported them with her attendance. Louise enjoyed camping, hiking and trailering throughout many states. Along with Wilbur, she also worked as a tour guide for Hetzer Tours taking musical groups to many states and Canada. Louise was a role model for all who knew her and our world is a better place because of her. She will be greatly missed but we know that she is in the loving arms of Jesus now! Louise is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wilbur, son Bruce (Bambi), five grandchildren Wilstan (Katie), Jazzmine (Peter), Jaime, Chris, Andy and three great-grandchildren, sister Evelyn Brown (Roger) and two nieces and nephews. Louise struggled with Alzheimers and the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Alzheimers Association or Hospice of Dayton (envelopes available at the church). Her family wishes to express their appreciation to all the staff at Laurelwood Senior Living for their loving care for several years. A life celebration visitation will be on Friday November 7th from 5-8 pm at Crossview Christian Church, 4237 E. Social Row Rd., Waynesville. Life celebration services on Saturday at 11:00 am at the church with Randy Snyder officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church. Burial will follow at New Vienna Cemetery.
