Patricia "Pat" A. Gallagher's Obituary
Patricia Ann (Fittro) Gallagher, age 78, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Mercy Health - Anderson Hospital, surrounded by her husband and children.
Patricia, affectionately known as “Pat” by her family and friends, was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on August 23, 1947. Pat grew up with three older siblings and seven younger siblings in Wapakoneta, Ohio. From the beginning, it was obvious that Pat had an eye for things that were fancy and beautiful. She began her career in interior design at Rike’s Department Store in Dayton, Ohio, and later operated a successful antique store and furniture refinishing business of her own, called Vintage Decor, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her skills expanded beyond furniture with home decorating and building two three-tiered wooden decks for two of the family homes. There was nothing she couldn’t do when she put her mind to it. Pat was also an excellent cook and typically made enough food to feed an army. Among many items she made for her family, she will be especially remembered for her delicious banana split pie.
More than anything, Pat loved and cherished her family. She was loyal, supportive, and generous. Pat is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack; daughter, Nicole; sons, Eric and Greg (Hilary); eight grandchildren, Logan, Elijah, Cody, Lainie (Shay), Savannah, Teagan, Tapp, and Trigg; six brothers, Glenn (Faye), John (Janet), Bob (Alice), Ronnie (Debbie), Roger (Sharon), and Terry (Sue); and two sisters, Charlotte, and Donna (Gary). Pat is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Ruth; two sisters, Janet and Sylvia; and her parents, Horace Ronald Fittro and Lois Jane (Szelepski) Fittro.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM on Monday, November 17, at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 PM on Monday at the funeral home, with David Ladd officiating the services. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Dayton.
