Patricia "Pat" Ann Fleenor's Obituary
FLEENOR, Patricia “Pat” Ann, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Pat graduated from Gallion High School, class of ‘58. She retired as a dedicated office manager for more than 25 years at Black’s Furniture in Xenia, where she became affectionately known as “the lady in charge.” Through her hard work, organization, and attention to detail, she earned the respect and admiration of both coworkers and customers before her retirement. She was a proud member of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA).
She enjoyed spending time playing pinochle and euchre with friends and family. She also looked forward to visiting casinos and trying her luck at the slot machines. A self-proclaimed marathon shopper, Pat could often be found browsing stores or keeping up with her favorite finds on QVC. Loving, caring, genuine, protective, generous, and intelligent, Pat had a special gift for making those around her feel loved and supported. She was an avid lover of Christmas and took tremendous pride in making the season beautiful for her family. From carefully wrapped gifts and handcrafted bows to perfectly coordinated decorations, Pat paid close attention to every detail and wanted everything to be aesthetically pleasing. She also enjoyed collecting crystals and angels, which reflected her appreciation for beauty and meaningful keepsakes. Pat was most proud of her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, whose accomplishments and happiness brought her endless pride.
Pat was preceded in death by her brothers, John Eldred Jr. and Charlie Eldred. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Frederick “Fred” W. Fleenor; her son, Chris Fleenor; her daughter, Jennifer (Michael O’Brien) Fleenor-O’Brien, and her cherished grandchildren, Jack and Grace O’Brien, all of Melbourne, Australia; and sister-in-law, Margaret Eldred.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook is serving the family. Condolences may be made at https://www.connerandkoch.com.
