Patricia Weissgarber's Obituary
WEISSGARBER, Patricia C., age 94, of Bellbrook, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024.
Pat graduated from Holy Family Grade School, Wilbur Wright High School, and Ohio University. At OU, she was honored to be a Chi Omega and elected to be class secretary and homecoming queen. She worked with Lord Manufacturing Co. and later with her husband, who was a manufacturer’s representative.
Pat had been a Red Cross nurse's aide at Good Samaritan Hospital, a volunteer at House of Bread, Co-Finance Coordinator and Co-QAC Senior Coordinator at Queen of Apostles Church, and Treasurer for the Bellbrook Historical Society.
Outgoing, caring, friendly, happy, good-natured, and respectful, Pat thought of others before herself. She greatly enjoyed motorhome travel with her husband, John, boating and camping at the Lake Erie islands and at Grand Lake Saint Marys State Park. She also enjoyed spending time with family, playing Bridge, and long lunches with good friends. She was an excellent cook and will always be remembered for her delicious sweet potato casserole. She will also be remembered by family how much she enjoyed hosting the family during the major holidays and how she always looked forward to setting up her Snow Babies and nativity scene.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Henry Cook; her beloved husband of 63 years, John; one son, John Weissgarber; and her brother, Lou (Rita) Cook. She is survived by her son, David Weissgarber (Kathy Crawford) of Loveland; cousin, Carole Clifford; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Friday, January 26 at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 PM at the funeral home in Bellbrook. Burial will be in Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton would be much appreciated. Condolences at www.connerandkoch.com.
