Peter Matthew Kahut's Obituary
Kahut, Peter M. "Pete", age 81, of Bellbrook, passed away Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 18, 1935 in Syracuse, New York to Florence (Fancher) and Matthew Kahut. Pete earned a bachelor's degree in physics from LeMoyne College, Syracuse. He retired from Logicon in 1997 after working many years as a defense contractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Stephen Kahut and daughter Mary Lynn Foster. Pete is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol (Loos) Kahut, two sons Richard Kahut (Beth) and Donald Kahut (Cindy), nine grandchildren Joshua, Matthew, Benjamin (Anna), Jacob, Jason (Lauren), Jonathan, Brandon, Madison and Cassie, seven great-grandchildren Lily, Reese, Alyssa, Emma, Stella, Libby and Louis, and one sister Susan Moore (Bob). There will be a life celebration visitation on Sunday July 17th from 5-7 pm at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 am Monday at Church of the Ascension with Father Ed Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering, Ohio 45420 or St. Vincent DePaul, 120 W. Apple St., Dayton, Ohio 45402.
