Ralph Paul Heckman's Obituary
Heckman, Ralph P., 77, of Kettering, passed away Sunday July 3, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born October 19, 1938 in Dayton to Dorothy (Deger) and Sylvester Anthony Heckman. Ralph was a 1956 graduate of Chaminade, 1962 graduate of the Naval Academy, and a 1965 graduate of Georgia Tech. He served his country with honor and worked as a Systems Analyst for the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marianne (Brown) Heckman, two sons, Alan Heckman (Claudia) of Livermore, California, and Paul Heckman of Sunnyvale, California; one daughter, Ann Mathias (Larry) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Max, Josef, Jacob, Mya and Rosalia; one brother, Charles Heckman (Patricia) of Beavercreek; and one sister Sylvia Kuczak (Ronald) of Bellbrook. The family will receive friends Saturday July 9th from 9:30-10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am with Father Tom Schmidt officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Anthony Elementary School, 1824 St. Charles Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45410.
