Richard Stanley "Ric" Bambic's Obituary
Bambic, Richard Stanley "Ric"
Richard Stanley Bambic was born September 3, 1940 in Cleveland to Anne (Zajc) and Stanley Bambic. He graduated from Euclid High School before going to Ohio University, where he attended for about a year. While there, a girl named Charlotte Rowe would pass by his dorm room. Ric always told dorm mates that he would marry that girl some day. So, on January 11, 1964, while on leave from the U.S. Air Force, he did. After serving his country in Vietnam, he earned a bachelors degree from Wright State University in Computer Science. Before retiring in 1999, he worked in Business Administration at W.S.U.'s Computer Science Department. Ric was a giving and generous man who loved his family. He treasured the annual family vacations to Salt Fork State Park, Maumee State Park, and especially to the dude ranch in White Fish, Montana. He loved bowling and would often reminisce about his years as the H.S. Captain of the bowling team. Ric was an avid weight trainer and runner who ran in several marathons. He loved helping people. Ric was a monthly blood donor and formerly served on the board at W.P.C.U. He was a member of Hope Church for 30+ years, serving as an usher and a member of the Landscaping and Grass Committee, attending Mens Bible Studies, small groups, and Senior's Sunday School class. Ric passed away on Monday, June 27th, 2016 at his home in Bellbrook. He was 75. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son Curtis Bambic. Ric is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte; daughter Tonya Camden and her husband Mike of Bellbrook; son Richard Bambic and his wife Brooks of Potsdam; son Brett Bambic and his wife Dianna of Dayton; five grandchildren Alyssa, Zac, Levi, Jake and Josh; and sister Pat Miller and her husband John of Euclid. A life celebration service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday July 6th at Hope Church, 5980 Wilmington Pike, Dayton with Pastors Jason Bunger and Tory Smith officiating. You are welcome to enjoy some of Ric's favorites, bridge mix and jelly beans, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Church, 5980 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45459 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
