Robert J Barnes' Obituary
Barnes, Robert J, age 79, resident of Bellbrook for over 40 years before moving to Caylor, Virgina for retirement, passed away Tuesday, September 26th, 2017 in Virginia .
He was born October 28th, 1937 to William and Elizabeth Barnes. He retired from Queen City Drywall.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert is survived by his wife Patricia "Pat" of 58 years, son Mike Barnes of Dayton, daughters Vicky Steinke (Kenton) of Bellbrook and Sherri Crute (Larry) of Bellbrook and 5 beloved grandchildren, Dustin (Linzie), Daniel, Cara & Thomas.
Robert loved baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds. When the Reds were playing, he never missed a game, tuning it in either on tv or radio. He also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, growing various vegetables including his favorites, cherry tomatoes. Above all else, he was most passionate about his grandchildren.
To help the family celebrate his life, you are invited to wear Cincinnati Reds attire while attending the visitation from 4:00-5:30 pm on Monday, October 2, 2017 at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 West Franklin Street, Bellbrook. Life celebration services will follow at 5:30 pm.
