Robert "Bob" Hunter's Obituary
HUNTER, Robert “Bob,” age 69, of Bellbrook, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024.
Bob dedicated over 40 years of his life to the sales industry, with a significant portion of his career spent at Centimark, where he earned the esteemed title of Top Salesman. His outgoing personality and extensive knowledge made him a respected figure in his field. Bob was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple. God-fearing and firm in his beliefs, Bob cared deeply for others. Volunteering at the local food bank was also very important to him.
Adventurous and full of life, Bob loved to be outdoors. He was an avid sportsman, hunting and fishing both locally and afar. Alaska, Colorado, Montana, and Canada were a few notable destinations for his outdoor adventures. Bob’s favorite retreat was the cabin in Caldwell, Ohio, where he created countless memories with friends. A devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Bob never missed a game day. He was also very enthusiastic about NASCAR races. Bob loved his 60’s and 70’s rock music and enjoyed attending concerts. In his younger years, he also loved the thrill of riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Above all, Bob treasured his family. His greatest pride came from his children and grandchildren, with whom he shared special memories during family vacations and cherished Christmas Eve traditions. Among many things, he will be remembered for his firm but loving approach to parenting, his meticulous organization of his tools, his love for kettle chips, and his zest for adventure.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Hunter. He is survived by his wife of nearly 38 years, Debbie; three children, Leah (Chris) Byrd, Bob Hunter, and Emma Hunter; three grandchildren, Bryanna, Braylon, and Eli; and one sister, Kim (Joe) Knox.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 7, at Conner and Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Jerry Siler will be officiating the service. Burial will be a Bellbrook Cemetery.
