Robert McMaster's Obituary
McMaster, Robert "Bob" Eugene, age 82, of Spring Valley, passed away Monday, October 24th, 2022 in Dayton at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 21, 1940 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He served in the Air Force from 1963-1977, achieving the rank of Captain, and was proud to have piloted the KC-135 Tanker in Vietnam. He later worked in computer programming, creating computer software programs. He married Sue Ann Wood on November 27, 1966, and they had two sons, Bobby and Daniel.
As a child, Robert was a member of Pleasant View Presbyterian church in Smock, Pennsylvania and later First United Methodist Church in Franklin, North Carolina. He graduated from Uniontown High School in Pennsylvania and attended Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania as well as the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Programming.
Robert was dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America, where he served as Scoutmaster, Troop Leader and as an Instructor for the BSA Camp Firing Range. He loved to hike in the woods. While living in Colorado, he hiked twice a year to the top of Pikes Peak, the highest summit of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Eleanor McMaster. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue Ann McMaster and sons Bobby (Dena) McMaster and Daniel (Kelly) McMaster as well as grandchildren Sawyer and Logan and triplets Dean, Gabrielle and Teague. His family greatly misses his loving and calm nature as well as his keen intelligence.
