Robert E. Snell's Obituary
Snell, Robert E. “Bob” was born Sept. 14, 1933 in Somerset, Ky to Martha (Ratliff) and Barney Snell, the eighth of ten children. He graduated from Mt. Victory High School and moved to the Dayton area to find employment. Bob worked 47 years in tool & die for Sheffield Measurements (now Bendix) before retiring in 1998. Old cars, guns and U.K. Basketball are among some of his interests. Bob also enjoyed bicycling, fishing and walking at the mall but his favorite things in his life are his grandkids and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister. Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce G. (Gilliland), one son Rick Snell (Gayle) of Miamisburg; two grandsons, Scott Snell of Germantown and Ryan Snell (Nicole) of Germantown; one great-grandson Evan; two brothers, David Snell (Jenny) of Somerset, Ky and Charles Snell (Lutricia) of Williamsburg, Oh; and one sister Lucy Sears of New Carlisle. You are welcome to join family and friends for a life celebration visitation from 6-8 pm Thursday Nov. 5th at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). A life celebration service will be at 11:00 am Friday at CONNER & KOCH with committal services to follow at Highland Cemetery, Miamisburg.
