Roger Henry Wright's Obituary
WRIGHT, Roger Henry, age 87, of Bellbrook and formerly of Beavercreek, departed his earthly home on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Roger was born in Jackson County, Tennessee, on June 22, 1936. He enjoyed fishing and listening to bluegrass while sitting in his rocking chair on his porch in Tennessee. He loved spending time with his family on their land, planting gardens with his grandchildren, and creating special, irreplaceable memories. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will forever be the patriarch who started this large and tight-knit family. He will be incredibly missed.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Maggie Wright; beloved son-in-law, Daryl Simpson, who was his best friend; and several siblings. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 68 years, Daisy Wright; his five children, Danny Wright of Bellbrook, Jack (Diana) Wright of Cape Coral, FL, Vickie Wright of Bellbrook, Janine (Jim) Stell of Gainesboro, TN, and Thomas (Gina) Wright of Beavercreek; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dolph Wright of Riverside; and one sister, Jean (Jim) Reeves of Cookeville, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, April 12, at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. Brian Bennett will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.connerandkoch.com.
