Earlier, at Holly's coffee counter, I opened up this issue of the Dayton Daily Snooze, and was soon surprised and saddened to see "Jarhead Junior's" obituary! At the age of 42, he almost as old as me! Being a proud Marine, like his dad, he would have approved of this obituary photo. Ron was funny and had the gift of gab and wit; more so than most of his coworker peers that I have not missed since February 2007. From 1981 on, at the Moron City Engine Plant, his dad had fun telling us about his dog and his wife and his sons. Ron and I discussed writing and our ideas, both being writers. Well, I'd like to see his dad again, not so much for our former DMAX "friends". Tell his mom and dad that I am truly sorry and sad, Ron being too young to go, like ya know. This is life, our former coworkers going one at a time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. All of my memories of Ron are of him smiling and laughing. Our heart felt condolence. The Callihan Family Sonya (Siereveld),Jeff,Heath and Courtnie.
My children play football through Bellbrook schools. Every time I see Swoop I think of Ron. His personality shining through and giving life to the sidelines. May the Lord bless your family and give you peace in this difficult time.
John, my heart goes out to you and your family, I know it is tough losing a sibling, know prayers and thoughts are coming your way. LOVE YA Aunt Karen & Uncle Luke
