Ronni Saltar's Obituary
SALTAR, Ronni (Hebrew “Rifka"), age 89, of Beavercreek and formerly of Plano, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Ronni accepted Yeshua (Jesus) as her Messiah and Savior early in her life, yet always cherished her Jewish upbringing and heritage. Proclaiming her personal testimony of God’s faithfulness, and teaching from the Word of God, she and her husband, renowned big-band trombonist and evangelist Sam Saltar, traveled the globe together in a 55-year ministry, which had a profound impact on countless lives.
Her life, both in public and in private, exuded her deep love for her Savior and her steadfast conviction that nothing is impossible for God.
Always hospitable, Ronni was dynamic, outgoing, friendly, loving, generous, fashionable, and classy. Every holiday was a major event, where hosting family with excellence was important to her. She was known to decorate her table with candy, crystal, candles, and confetti — making every setting nothing less than grand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel, in 2013; one son, Brad Saltar; her parents, Albert and Rose Sailer; and one brother, Larry Sailer. She is survived by two sons, Steven (Teri) Saltar and Michael Saltar; daughter-in-law, Cara Saltar; eight grandchildren, Joshua (Mallory) Saltar, Danielle (Craig) Byer, Elliott, Andrew, Garrett, Grant (Lindsay), Brooke, and Lauren Saltar; and four great-grandchildren, Jace, Elijah, Jameson, and Blake.
The family will receive friends 10 - 11 AM Saturday, October 26, at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Futrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berean Pathway Ministry, P.O. Box 2626, Addison, Texas 75001.
