Oh, Arlene, I am so glad I got the chance to meet you and Roy at the last two (Ohio) Stevens' reunions. Roy was such a kind and gentle man, and such a joy to chat with. I am so privileged to have known him even just that little bit. I am praying for you, that the supernatural strength and peace of our dear Lord Jesus will carry you through this time. We rejoice that he is in the presence of Jesus and that we will see him again. What comfort and joy there is in that truth. My sympathy to you, Arlene, and your family. So many memories came to mind with the picture of you two that was posted over the weekend. Our district youth conference trips in the VW, the Love Hunting Camp, the gathers after church with the \"group\". I am so sure that he has connected with the Juniata crew as they are celebrating his home coming. However, you are left here for now. May your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren be the comfort you need along with leaning on the Lord for that comfort also.
Roy has and always will be loved by Jerry and I. God used Roy's patience with our stubbornness to make us see the need for Jesus. His strong discipleship program grounded us in God's Word. Roy has always been a great example for us to follow. Our love to Arlene and the family as you celebrate the victory as he has finished his race. He was a good and faithful servant.
