Sharon Wilson-Roddy (Wilson)'s Obituary
Wilson-Roddy, Sharon, 53, of Beavercreek, formerly of Fremont, Ohio, passed away Tuesday April 26th, 2016 at her home. She was born November 14, 1962 in Sandusky, Ohio, to Lucille (Williams) and Arnold Wilson. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School and attended Grace Community College in Winona Lake, Indiana. In her early years, Sharon enjoyed being a cheerleader in Fremont and later singing at church and for weddings. She loved to read romance novels and watch crime investigation and dramatic tv shows. She also loved her animal companions, her dogs, Duke and Bella, and her cat, Ty. Most of all, Sharon was passionate about her girls whom she intimately referred to as “KenBen”, “TayBabe” and “Freddy”. Sharon is survived by her three girls, Alexa Roddy of Sydney, Australia, Taylour Roddy of Dayton, and Kennedy Roddy of the University of Colorado, Boulder; parents Lucille and Arnold Wilson of Fremont; sister LuAnne (Wilson) Ohms and her husband Randy of Fremont; brother Duane Wilson and his wife Deena of Warsaw, Indiana; and the father of her girls, Ron Roddy of Beavercreek. A life celebration visitation will be held on Wednesday May 4th from 4-6 pm at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651) with services to follow at 6:00 pm. A second visitation will be held on Friday May 6th from 10am-12pm at Fremont Community Grace Church, 900 Smith Rd., Fremont, Ohio with memorial services to follow at noon. A luncheon will be served after the services. Online contributions may be made in Sharon’s memory to www.GreeneGiving.org. If you would rather bring a more intimate gift, Sharon’s girls would appreciate flowering bulbs or perennials for them to enjoy throughout their lives in remembering their mom.
