Shirley Mae Rogers (Smith)'s Obituary
Rogers, Shirley Mae (Smith) was born in Rochester, New York on Nov. 24, 1929 to Harold Warden and Mabel Kay (Krauss) Smith. She married Harold “Bud” Rogers and together they raised three children and enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Shirley was known for her sweet, family-oriented, and devoted personality, for her love of her cats, and for her lifetime involvement with the Bellbrook Lioness Club. Shirley enjoyed going on trips with Bud, and especially loved Amish country, the Opryland Hotel, and Pigeon Forge. She loved holidays, Cher (Laughing), cooking, and word search puzzles. Most of all, she dearly loved her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mabel Smith. She is survived by her husband Bud, sons Dave Rogers (Joan), Phil Rogers, daughter Cindy Rogers, four grandchildren Justin, Adam, and Ryan Rogers, Lauren Lynch (Sean), 1 great-granddaughter Kayleigh, and one brother Frank Smith (Elsie) of Sterling, VA. You are welcome to join family and friends for a life celebration visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home (92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook) from 4-6 pm. A life celebration service will be held at Conner and Koch on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 1 pm with Stan Gockel officiating.
