Sue Palguta's Obituary
Helen Suzanne "Sue" Palguta, age 83, of Bellbrook, passed away on Wednesday September 1, 2021.
Sue was born on February 28th, 1938 to Theresa (Maas) Thesing and John Thesing. During her early years, Sue enjoyed showing and racing horses, winning many ribbons and awards. Sue earned her undergrad degree in education from The Ohio State University where she met her husband, Patrick. She later also earned a Masters degree in Education from Wright State University. She served her community for 37 years while working as a Teacher for the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek School District.
Sue lived a full and vibrant life. She enjoyed traveling and was able to go on many adventures that spanned five continents and included many cruises, an African safari, and the Grand Canyon. Sue enjoyed golfing, Tanqueray on the rocks, and playing bridge, and gathering with the "Old Farts Club." As an alumni, Sue was also a big Ohio State fan. She loved to tailgate, see the marching band, and especially enjoyed the bowl games. Her chocolate chip cookies were delicious and those that knew her always looked forward to her hard rock candy each Christmas. She was a dedicated teacher, a great mom, a doting grandma, and a wonderful woman and friend. She will be missed every day.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, John and Theresa Thesing, and her husband of over 40 years, Patrick Palguta. Helen is survived by sons Pat (Sharon) Palguta and Dave (Jenny) Palguta, granddaughters Alli Palguta and Tiffany Palguta, and brother John "Buck" Thesing.
