Theodore "Ted" J. Teister's Obituary
TEISTER, Theodore “Ted” J., age 78, of Bellbrook, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Ted was one of several children born to Joseph and Marion Teister in Dayton. He leaves behind family and friends. He graduated from Fairmont East High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisville, where he studied to be a chemist and was a collegiate gymnast. He proudly served in the United States Army as a medic during the Vietnam War. While serving, he was shot down three times.
Adventurous, Ted lived life like the old Frank Sinatra song, “I Did It My Way.” He had a passion for scuba diving. His favorite place to go diving was the Riviera Maya in Mexico. In addition, he enjoyed cooking, hunting, riding his motorcycles, and driving his Corvette on the open road. He loved to travel, and some of the best adventures came from his trips to Alaska and the Napa Valley.
There will be a celebration of life gathering from 4 PM to 5 PM on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. There will be a graveside service at 2 pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Dayton National Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family at www.connerandkoch.com.
