Dearest Tom,
You spent your whole life doing so much for so many others. Your compassion and support made a difference for many people and their families. We are very proud of you for all you did. You have been an inspirational member of our family for over 40 years. You not being with us will be hard for all. We will never be able to acknowledge all the acts of love and kindness you selflessly did for our sister, Sheila, and the rest of our family. Although now there will be your empty chair at the family table ... we know you will be sitting in one of the best seats in God's House.

Sheila, we are so sorry for your loss. We know Tom battled a long time to beat his health issues. A very strong Cousin of ours is in a better place.

When I asked for St. Vincent de Paul to assist me with a grandmother with many needs raising her five grandchildren who moved here when her mother was very ill and then passed. After screening, he and St. Vincent de Paul and the Knights of Columbus all helped out for at least three years from Easter and Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets, right down to helping her pack and load all their belongings back to Kentucky after she was diagnosed with a heart condition - so she could be close to a daughter and her husband's family who agreed to help with the grandchildren in the event of hospitalization. I was so surprised Tom was there to help her move. He could not have been well, then, but his spirit was so willing!
