Tom was born Oct. 1, 1924 in Salyersville, Kentucky to Delaney (Wireman) and Loren Neeley. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. Tom worked 29 years for Dayton Press before retiring in 1979. He earned a reputation for being loyal, witty, hard-working and honest. Tom could fix anything and was good at working with various types of tools and machines. He built 3-phase electric converters. Tom enjoyed going to auctions, playing canasta and euchre, the beach and his family. He passed away Wed. Dec. 10, 2014 at Fox Run Assisted Living, Fairborn at the age of 90. Although he didn’t attend church during his life, he accepted Christ three years ago and got baptized just days before his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 66 years, Edith (Jan. 2014), seven brothers and sisters, great-grandson Jaesun Bingamon (2008). Tom is survived by one son Greg (Becky), one daughter Vivian Neeley (Jim Bingamon), four grandchildren, Julie, Grant (Beka), Scott (Shannon), and Grace, one great-granddaughter, Mara, and sister Susie Decker. The family will receive friends Wed. Dec. 17th from 10am-12:00 pm (noon) at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). A life celebration will follow at noon with Rev. Mark Stusek officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Acclaim Hospice, 7887 Washington Village Drive #135, Dayton, OH 45459.
