dear Grushon family. Phil and I are so sorry for the loss of your wonderful mom. We first met your mom when she took a trip to VT. because, as Vera put it, "Tom had the nerve to drag Cheri and family all the way up there." From that first meeting, I fell in love with your mom and dad. She was truly a strong, courageous servant for the Lord. Ready to stand for the right. When it came to her family, there was not anything she would do. You could always count on her presence at any ball games or other activities her grand and great-grand children would be involved in. Every early spring Phil would dig up his horseradish, process it up and give her a jar. Though it was strong, and nearly take your breathe away, she was delighted. She came to enjoy coming to Vt, because here we have the best golden pure gold liquid only VT Maple trees provides, which Vera had to admit was very good. I will never forget all she did for we Chatot gals when we came to your neck of the woods because of the FC camps. You all put us up and several times we stayed with your mom and dad. On at least one occasion Vera saw to it that Kathleen was picked up in Cincinatti and brought back to their place so I could met up with her. One night we had tickets for the Reds game with lots of we gals. She told us all where we were going to sit at the game. Her reason was, that those who see each other frequently should sit with those who came out of town. That scenario always tickled my heart. Amazing, beautiful lady who made an impression on everyones lives. I have missed her over the years, now with Vera's passing to an eternal everlasting life, it has brought out some of my memories of her. She truly was a comfort to all around her. Your family has been blessed to have had Jim and Vera as parents. I pray your dad Jim is ok. Love and Hugs, Phil and Kathleen Chatot

Ah, our precious Aunt Vera! How she loves the Lord. I so enjoyed talking with her about Him while she was here on earth. Uncle Jim, Mike, Peggy, Cheri, my kissin' cousin, and the rest of the family...may God surround you with His amazing love and peace, and bring comfort to your hearts. Love you all, Debbie
