Our hearts go out to the Kurtz family. May the following poem that a congregant wrote when our 16-year-old son, Billy, died as the result of a head injury at a ball game, be of some possible comfort in your loss of Vinny, also at such young age.
NEVER TOO YOUNG TO BE WITH GOD,
THOUGH IT BE A SORROWFUL DAY
FOR THOSE ON EARTH LEFT ALONE AND SAD,
TO KNOW HE HAS GONE AWAY.
NEVER TOO YOUNG TO BE WITH GOD;
JUST A LITTLE WHILE AGO
HE CAME FROM GOD.
IF GOD CALLS BACK THE LOAN,
IT IS SURELY BETTER SO.
