Virginia Ann Wheeler (Marks)'s Obituary
A sweet, generous, and compassionate mom, grandma, and sister, Virginia A. Wheeler, age 81, walked peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 27th, 2020 from her home in Bellbrook. She was born June 27th, 1939 in Dayton to Lillian (D'elia) and Joseph W. Marks.
Virginia followed her parent's legacy of a love for cooking. She worked at Angelina's Pizza with them for many years, followed by Antonio's Restaurant, Dorothy Lane Market, and Dinwiddies in Bellbrook where she was a resident for over 50 years. Virginia had a huge heart and loved everyone unconditionally. All were welcome in her home where her motto was "there's always room for one more." She was a persistent prayer warrior who kept a promise book that she marked when someone was healed. Virginia was also a devoted follower of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. She loved to play Rummi Kub, work on jigsaw puzzles, and had an affinity for birds and flowers. She also loved to collect dolls and snowmen. Virginia enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show, Little House on the Prairie, the Waltons, and Everybody Loves Raymond, over and over again.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joseph M. Marks, grandson Shawn Jones, and great-grandchild Amelia, and “adopted” son Donnie White.
Although Virginia had seven children, she never showed any favoritism among them. She is survived by her sons, Joey Wheeler and Billy Wheeler, Jr. (Carolyn); daughters Debbie Jones (Bill), Patti Workman, Dora Erickson (Jeff), Carol Wheeler (Kenny Pack), and Sharon Colston (Lloyd); grandchildren Kristie Key (Garry), Maria Cockroft (Michael), Jordan, Kevin, Cara Filson (Connor), Brittany, Billy Wheeler, III (Haley), Joseph, Noah, Matthew, Justin (LeAndra), Brian (Jessica), Jarrod (Andrea), Tyler (Brittany), Mackenzie, Destiny, Tracie, Julie (Max), Travis (Patrice), Nathan (Amy), and Heather; great-grandchildren Emma, Aria, James, and Felix, Brad, Kelli, Harley, Erica, Brittani, Kara, Seth, Kalyssa, Kehlani, Eli, Zander, Maddox, Ethan, Aubrey, and Mila; and great-great-grandchildren Greyson, Myla, and Nolan; and sister Rosie Powell.
