William Lanter's Obituary
William Carey Lanter, age 58, of Sugarcreek Township, passed away Sunday, January 24th, 2021 at his home.
He was born August 10th, 1962 to William Lanter and Michaela (Dunkman) Lanter. William earned a Bachelors Degree in Physics from Wright State University He was currently employed as an Engineering Physicist for UES.
William loved being a swing dancer with his wife at Gem City Swing, He was bee keeper and was very knowledgeable about different kinds of bees and their roles in the bee world. William was very passionate about being an engineering physicist. He was a published researcher in high temperature dielectric capacitors, and an avid computer and rock band gamer. William was a good ping pong teacher and he is the reason his family and friends are good now. William will be lovingly remembered for buying everything in bulk, being an excellent cook of orange chicken, and how he could fix everything himself with his vast array of tools.
He was preceded in death by his dad William Russell Lanter.
William is survived by wife Stella, four children Will Lanter, Matt Lanter (Ruth), Ariel Lanter, and Brody Lanter; two step-children Eliot Taguiam (Stephen), Jake Hites (Gabi), grandchildren Dominic, Savi, Olivia, and Ariston, mom Michaela Lanter, and siblings Michele Giles (Mike), Scott Lanter, Beck Lanter, and Robert Lanter..
Private Life Celebration Services will be held at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home 92 W. Franklin St. Bellbrook, Ohio 45305, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. If you plan to attend services in person, be sure to bring your mask to wear while you are inside.
