William "Mac" Winston's Obituary
Winston, William "Mac", 86, of Bellbrook, passed away Sat. Nov.19th at Trinity Community, Beavercreek. He was born on Dec. 15, 1929 to Mary (Simpson) and William Monroe Winston. Mac earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from Otterbein College and a Masters Degree in Education from Miami University, Oxford. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mac worked as a Math teacher for several years before working as a Principal, and later, the Superintendent of Sugarcreek Schools (Bellbrook), where he also coached boys basketball and drove a school bus. He retired as an Assistant Superintendent from the Great Oaks Vocational School. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Winifred Cochran. Mac is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alene (Bryant) Winston, two daughters, Debby Heinz (Dennis) of Beavercreek Twp., and Cindy Smith (Scott) of Florida; and two grandchildren, Eddie Mac Pickott and Tracy Heinz. You are invited to a life celebration visitation on Tuesday, November 22nd from 5-7 pm at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Conner & Koch. Interment in Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Community, 3218 Indian Ripple Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45440 or the Alzheimers Association, 31 W. Whipp Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459.
