About Us

Who we are

Celebrating life since 1968

As a proud member of the Bellbrook community since 1968, we're honored to help families celebrate their loved ones. We pledge to ensure that every funeral and memorial service is deeply personal, fostering healing and remembrance.

On the surface, we are a small town, family-owned and operated business, representing four generations of funeral professionals. In reality, we are a group of ordinary people that want more for our families. We want to remember more stories, celebrate more characteristics, curate more experiences, support more grief, offer more resources, and solve more problems, all for you. Throughout the hardest times of your life, we exist to meet your needs.
What we stand for

Our Mission

Our passion is to co-create a life celebration for your loved one that will walk you and your family through their path of life. We want to make sure that each life is adequately celebrated and remembered.

Dignity

Every life is unique, and we promise to honor and respect each journey, crafting ceremonies that reflect each individual.

Guidance

Navigating grief can be overwhelming; we stand by you, providing direction and solace every step of the way.

Legacy

Beyond a service, we're committed to helping families create lasting tributes that transcend generations.

A friend of the family...

Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home is known to families in Greene County and the Miami Valley area as "a friend of the family" because of our personalized service and attention to detail. We serve all faiths and provide all types of services. We are compassionate funeral directors who listen attentively to our families and provide services tailored to their individual needs. Because we are very familiar with the grief process, we can provide caring and valuable help. We are honored to serve our families in pre-planning, at-need, and after-care services.

Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home was founded in 1968 by H. William Tobias and was first named Tobias Memorial Home. Mr. Tobias owned and operated the funeral home at 92 West Franklin Street (St. Rt. 725), Bellbrook until his retirement in 1986. Steve and Kathy Conner, of Waynesville, purchased the funeral home in March of 1986 and changed the name of the funeral home to Tobias-Conner Funeral Home.

Brian and Donna Koch acquired the funeral home in April of 1999. Brian is the son of the former owners, Steve and Kathy Conner. Brian was a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He was the funeral home's managing funeral director from June of 1990 until the time of ownership. Donna is a licensed funeral director and licensed social worker. Brian and Donna have three daughters. Their middle daughter, Addison, graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's degree in Business, and is currently serving as the managing funeral director for Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home.
