Mary Lou Bollinger

A faithful, thoughtful, and caring follower of Jesus, Mary Lou Bollinger, age 86, of Kettering, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 27th, 2022. Mary Lou was born on March 17th, 1936 to Lewis and Evelyn Schwartz. After receiving her nursing degree, she worked for over 15 years as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Thomas Laneve in Kettering, and for nearly 30 years as a volunteer at The Fraze. She put her heart and soul into all that she did, spending countless hours serving others. At Christmas time, her service came in the form of cookies, countless tins full of them, given to everyone she knew. She loved blessing her family with all her cooking and baking, oftentimes feeding the neighborhood kids, when they were hungry. Mary Lou was always very involved in her church. Her faith was the most important thing in her life, directing the way she loved others, the books she read, the music she listened to, and much more. She was constantly seeking out more scriptural truth, even figuring out how to work Youtube to watch multiple sermons every Sunday. She greatly enjoyed the annual trips her family took to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan spent fishing and reading, watching all the Buckeyes and Bengals games, and listening to all the old hymns and Gaither classics. She never said an unkind word about anyone, took people in, and was willing to give everyone a chance. While she will be missed, she is right where she always wanted to be, safe in the arms of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dorse Bollinger, daughter Linda Bollinger, and brother Lewis Schwartz. Mary is survived by her son, Kevin Bollinger and his wife Connie, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends. To help the family celebrate her life, you are invited to share during her visitation at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home (92 W. Franklin St. Bellbrook, OH 45305) on Wednesday, June 8th from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Life Celebration Services will be held Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 at 12:30 pm, immediately following the visitation.
