Barbara Raetz VanEgeren (Raetz)'s Obituary
A happy and optimistic person who was also quiet and reserved, Barbara Raetz VanEgeren, age 59, of Sugarcreek Township, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, June 9th, 2017 at her home.
She was born October 15th, 1957 in San Francisco, California. She was recently retired from the Defense Contract Management Agency, where she worked as a civil servant.
Barbara loved to bake. She particularly liked baking sourdough bread and chocolate stout cake, along with chocolate chip cookies. Barbara also enjoyed working in her flower garden. In her early years, she was an avid photographer and loved the beach. While in California, Barbara owned and operated two coffee shops as she worked for D.C.M.A.
She was preceded in death by her her parents, and sisters Mary Ann Stockwell and Jacquilin Raetz. Barbara is survived by her husband, Thomas VanEgeren and siblings Alan Raetz, Margie Baily,Gloria Nelson, Nancy Raetz and Kathy Raetz.
