Carol was my neighbor for 22 years, on Nedra Dr., Bellbrook, Ohio. I moved in as a very young mother in 1980. For 22 years, this woman served as my friend and second mother. She invited my children and me into her home and her life. She guided me and cheered me on through divorce, college, and raising my children. She stayed in contact after my move. My Christmas tree is a legacy to her love and care over our lives, and is precious to not only me, but my children. She taught me strength, grace, and how to live a life filled with community. I knew Carol for a relatively brief period in the 60's, but she left a lasting memory as one of the kindest people I have ever known. God Bless her.
