Carol P. Firchow (Peak)'s Obituary
Firchow, Carol P., 90, of Bellbrook, passed away Wed. June 15th, 2016 at St. Leonard, Centerville. She was born Jan. 10, 1926 in Liberal, Kansas to the late Sylvetta Bundy and the late Fred Peak. Carol was a potter who used her creative talents in kind gifts to her family and friends. Carol, formerly an office manager who was a registered representative on the New York Stock Exchange, was most passionate about making pottery, reading books, journaling, and playing Bridge. She loved to hike and exercise. She loved her Bible Study, Book Club, and Girl Scouting. Above all she loved her family. She was a former member of the Dayton Women’s Club, the Ohio Arts & Crafts Council, Ohio Designer Craftsman, the Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptors, and the Bellbrook Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Firchow, son-in-law Dan Brubaker, grandson Mark Walker, and best friend Caroline Arps. Carol is survived by her three daughters, Cheri Dunlap (Ross) of Estero, Florida, Lydette Brubaker of Centerville, and Lynn Keith (Bill) of Red Lodge, Montana; four grandchildren, Jennifer Verreault (Shawn), Brian Dunlap (Jennifer), Matthew Walker (Susie), and Jason Keith (Caroline), eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. There will be a gathering of family and friends along with an open house to display some of her works of art on Sat. June 18th from 10:00 AM until life celebration services begin at 11:00 AM at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook.
