Dear Michelle, Tammy, and Marty,Your mother was never forgotten and will always hold a special place in our hearts; unfortunately I did not keep in touch as often as I would have liked. The love and attention she gave to our family for over five years grows "more appreciated" as time goes on and my children have looked to hire their own "Jean" to care for their children! She was so devoted to our family! She and Anne enjoyed lunches at Taco Bell, Domino's pizza, play dates in your spacious family room, beautiful Christmas decorations, and sleep-overs. Your mother's dedication to our family made working possible for me. She went above and beyond to make daily life easier for our family, in fact she even put shelf paper in every cabinet when we moved into our new home in 1990! Your mother's energy, kindness, fun-loving spirit, and love for the holidays will live on. How wonderful that she was able to celebrate 96 birthdays and Christmas seasons!! We count our blessings to have been a part of her life and send our love and condolences to all of you. She was so proud of you, and especially her beautiful granddaughter. In finding it difficult to pick a memory to share, I\u2019m going to share some of Jean\u2019s words. I have a little photo in a plastic album that she gave me for my 10th birthday. It is kind of funny because it\u2019s a picture of her with one of the Oda\u2019s but she cut my face out of a photo and taped in on top. The album plays a recorded message. \u201cHi Ashley. Today you\u2019re 10 already! I\u2019ll remember your happy smile and all the good times we had together. Happy Birthday. I love you.\u201d I have listened to it so much over the last 20 years that I can hear exactly how her voice sounds without having to play the recording.
Our condolences to Jean\u2019s family. We had the pleasure of getting to know her when she was babysitting our Chloe. Even after we moved away from the community, Jean sent Chloe a birthday bouquet on each of her birthdays with the number of roses representing her age. She was a very special and fun-loving lady!
