Ross, John “Jack”, formerly of Bellbrook passed away on March 10 in Deland, FL. He was born on June 19,1925 to Helen & Kenneth Ross in Nevada City, CA. John is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Janet & their daughters, Nanc Read Obituary
Peace and God's Light and Love be with us all. Coach Ross recruited me to play for Wright State in 1972. I will always remember his saying, "the sun is going to come up tomorrow and the world is going to keep on spinning". The years at WSU were historical and I appreciate having been able to be a part of his legacy i.e. 1st team to play varsity schedule (1972-73), first team to play in P.E. Building and first team to be undefeated at home (1973-74). Thanks for some great memories. Peace be with us all,

I lost a great friend, and Wright State University lost a true athletic pioneer when John Ross died. He was a towering figure in the athletic field, a marvelous innovator, a super coach, and a man of utmost integrity. I consider it a blessing to have had so many great adventures and times of fellowship with John over the decades I knew him. My prayers and sympathy to Janet, their kids, and grandkids.
John was a giant among men in so many ways. You have my sincerest condolences.
