John "Jack" Kenneth Ross' Obituary
Ross, John “Jack”, formerly of Bellbrook passed away on March 10 in Deland, FL. He was born on June 19,1925 to Helen & Kenneth Ross in Nevada City, CA. John is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Janet & their daughters, Nancy (Karl) Valentine, Jeanne Ross, & Tina (Dave) Merkamp; his grandchildren Amery (Branden) South, Alan (Louise) Steele, John (Victoria) Valentine, & Jill Valentine; and great-grandsons Jackson, Ross, Patton, Jack, & Matthew; brother Richard Ross and sister Freddie Grisham. John grew up in Mason, OH and was a graduate of Wilmington College and Xavier University. He was a proud Navy veteran serving his country in WW II. John spent his entire career as both a teacher and coach of his beloved game of basketball at Cedarville, Bellbrook, & Belmont High School in Dayton. He later became the first basketball coach at Wright State University. John's Life Celebration will be held at 4:30 pm on June 13, 2015 at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W.
