Richard H. "Dick" Jackson's Obituary
RICHARD H. "DICK" JACKSON
age 88, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016. Richard was born May 8, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio to Everett and Beatrice (Lucas) Jackson. Richard first started working for National Cash Register (NCR) Corp. in 1946, at age 18. He worked for NCR for the next 31 years, in numerous divisions, including Final Inspection, Domestic Marketing, Used Products, and Corporate Affairs. Following his retirement from NCR in 1977, Richard, with his business partner Bob Coppock, founded Midwest Business Machines. He retired from Midwest in 1990. During retirement, Richard worked for Tobias Funeral Home for many years, and most recently for Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home in Bellbrook.
Over his life, Richard had a strong interest in politics and serving in his community. In 1975, he was elected, and served as a member of the Bellbrook City Council. Over the years, he served in various elected and appointed positions in both the Montgomery and Greene County Republican Parties, as well as numerous campaigns. Additionally, Richard dedicated much time to serving on, and with, numerous city and community boards.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; son Richard "Denny" Jackson; daughter Stephany Cramer; their mother Phyllis (Nichols); daughter-in-law Ruth Allen; and step-daughter Deborah Thomas.
Richard is survived by his wife of 30 years, and the love of his life, Joann (Turner) Jackson; daughter Shirley Barnes (Harris) of Englewood; step-sons Billy Allen of Lowell, MA; Greg Allen (Rhonda) of Wilmington; Kenny Allen of Xenia; step-daughter Beverley Midolo (Bruce) of Punta Gorda, FL; and son-in-law Duane Cramer of Miamisburg; and nearly 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Franklin St., Bellbrook. Life celebration services and a "coffee toast" at 11:00 am Tuesday at CONNER & KOCH. Burial will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery.
