As an online friend, I can't be there in person for the memorial, so I wanted to share here instead. Thomas and the group that formed around his D&D game kept me looking forward to something at the end of every week, despite my struggling with illnesses that took so much away from me. His kindness, creative talent and sense of humor made his table one that I felt so privileged to (virtually) sit at for the past six years. He put in so much effort into making our game special, and together we told some of what will always be my favorite stories. Beyond that, we were just people who could talk for hours about every random thing, and laugh until we cried from the stupid jokes. I've never seen Tom in real life, but he was very important to me, as a fellow writer and nerd, and as an endlessly welcoming friend. I am so incredibly grateful that I got to know him.
